The Hottest New Technologies Of 2011
Motorola XOOM
Motorola says "XOOM is redefining what a tablet experience can be as the world's first device to run Android 3.0 Honeycomb, Google's powerful operating system designed specifically for tablets." XOOM has a 10.1-inch screen, supports Flash, 3G wireless access that can be upgraded to 4G LTE, front- and rear-facing cameras, a camcorder and Nvidia Tegra dual-core processor.
Motorola Atrix 4G Smartphone
Moto says Atrix 4G will be the most powerful new smartphone this year, and it's the first dual core processor phone from AT&T. The Android phone has HTML5 support, two 1 GHz processors, 1 GB of RAM. Atrix 4G can also view HD video and show any e-mail attachment. When you dock the phone it turns into a small laptop.
Samsung SUR40 for Microsoft Surface
This tabletop computer incorporates all the key features of the original Surface product--multi-touch experience, the ability to recognize fingers, hands and objects--and a more flexible form. The top of the device is coated with Corning's rugged Gorilla glass. Inside it relies on a multicore AMD processor and a new technology Microsoft calls "PixelSense" to "see" objects on its surface.
Toshiba Glasses-Free 3-D TVs
Toshiba demoed the boldest new set at CES: a glasses-free 3-D TV. The company demoed 56-inch and 65-inch TVs. There are only a few spots in front of the TV where the effect works, though. The glasses-free TVs are expected to be sold in North America in fiscal year 2011.
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX10/B
This update to Sony's popular Cyber-shot line lets you shoot in 3-D. It's expected to go on sale in March, priced at $280.
LG Pencil-Thin TV
LG boasts that it's the world's slimmest OLED TV at just 2.9 millimeters thick. It has a 31-inch screen with a full-HD 1920-by-1080 display. The picture quality is gorgeous, but not as much as the device itself.
nPower PEG
This gadget, from a company called Tremont Electric, generates electricity as you walk and move around. Says Tremont: "Place the PEG in your backpack, briefcase or handbag, and walk. As you move the nPower PEG harvests and stores the kinetic energy that you're already generating and converts it into usable power for recharging more than 3,000 handheld devices, such as your cellphone, MP3 player or camera." Price: $159.99.
iGrill
The iGrill is a Bluetooth-enabled wireless cooking thermometer that works with your iPhone or iPad. Stick the sensor in your meat and sync the base station with your iGadget of choice, and you can monitor your food from up to 200 feet away.
Pointing the 3DS' front-facing cameras at a regular playing card on a table and holding it about a foot from the card, a 3-D cartoon box popped up on top of the card as viewed through the screen. After using the 3DS to shoot at the targets that later popped up on the surface of the table, a boss dragon appeared for gameplay.
Ludacris is the latest hip hop artist to launch his own headphone line, called Soul by Ludacris. All five models in the line promise to "deliver deep bass without sacrificing clarity."

favorite quote off the movie "GAMER"
That's bullshit, man!
You know that's bullshit!
So you're the ones who broke me out?
- We only freed your mind.
- And your ass follows.
Holly shit...
You made it!
You're really here.
Kable. You're great.
- You got questions.
- A few.
So she took my blood.
Why?
The nanex.
It modifies the actual cell
structure of your brain.
We can crack it, but it's not one size fits all,
we need your DNA
so that we can generate costume code.
Alright, then why me?
Because Castle
is afraid of you man.
It ain't just a game, Tillman.
Every day there's more people stepping forward.
Want to be a part of Castle's world,
throwing away everything that means to be human.
Right now is the desperate ones.
Convicts, addicts, the sick, the poor.
The ones that fell through the cracks.
The federal prison system
is growing out of control.
Set to bankrupt the whole damn USA,
then Castle rides in on a white horse
Says he has a plan to bail us all out
and we just fall in line?
The healthcare system is collapsing.
And this time he's pushing for
total control over genetic diseases.
Birth defect is no longer an issue.
All we have to do is exchange our cells
for the ones he wants to give us.
Promise of a longer life
and a fatter wallet...
- Do you think people will refuse?
- Fuck no.
Then the next thing you know...
we're all slaves.

Papoose Forms Label; Pushes Ahead With 'Nacirema Dream'
(AllHipHop News) Wordsmith Papoose has formed a new record label named Honor B4 Money Records, to release his highly anticipated album Nacirema Dream.
Pap's label has already experienced success with his artist Karina Bradley, a Philadelphia-based pop singer who has a popular single out title “Nevermind Love” featuring Meek Mill.
Nacirema Dream was originally supposed to be released on DJ Kay Slay's record label, in conjunction with a seven-figure deal with Busta Rhymes and Jive Records.
Label politics put the release on hold, as Jive would eventually be absorbed by Sony Records.
According to reps from Papoose, the album will feature Erykah Badu, Jadakiss, Jim Jones, Thugacation, Busta Rhymes, Lloyd Banks, and his wife, incarcerated rapper Remy Ma.
In related news, Papoose is working with charitable organization Preserve our Legacy.
He recently completed a PSA with the organization to benefit the Batassy Orphanage/Women's Shelter in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
